Weapon Proficiency

Every weapon you fight with levels up on its own and lets you hand-pick the perks that shape it.

How it works

Fight with any weapon. The kills you land while wielding it grant proficiency XP stored on that exact weapon.
Every proficiency level lets you choose one perk from that weapon's perk tree. Rarer, stronger weapons open more perk rows.
Bosses (very high-health monsters) award a big chunk of proficiency XP, so they are the fast way to level a weapon.
Perks travel with the weapon — store it or trade it and the progress goes with the item.

A weapon reaches each level once it has accumulated this much proficiency XP. There are 7 levels, and every level grants one perk pick.

+ Weapon SkillRaises the weapon's fighting skill (or magic level for wands) while wielded.

+ AttackExtra weapon attack for more raw damage.

Critical ChanceChance for your spells to critically hit for ×1.5 damage.

Critical DamageYour critical spells deal extra bonus damage.

Life / Mana LeechA chance to restore part of your auto-attack damage as health or mana.

OnslaughtA chance to instantly strike again for 60% damage.

Slayer's MarkBonus damage against a specific monster race.

Spell Boost+% damage to specific attack spells tied to that weapon.

A weapon tailored to your build — you choose every perk as it levels.
Perks stack across the 7 levels, so a maxed weapon carries a full custom loadout.
Progress is permanent and bound to the item, never lost on relog.
